Regular giving

Why give regularly to Age Concern Oxfordshire?
The number of older people grows every year – especially those in frail health – so we cannot stand still. We need to plan ahead, expanding our services to reach out to all those who need us. We can only do this if we have a dependable and growing regular income. By donating to Age Concern Oxfordshire, you can be sure that your money will be used locally for local older people.

How much should I give?
That is entirely up to you. You can also choose how often you want to give – whether annually, quarterly or monthly. For example, you may choose to give a large amount each year, or a few pounds each month.

How should I give regularly?
You choose when and how much you would like to give. The most cost-effective way to do this is through a Direct Debit or Standing Order. If you like, you can make a regular commitment over a number of years. Your help in this way can allow us plan for the future. Please call us on 01235 849400 if you would like to discuss this option.

Join our Friends and Partners scheme
There is already a lot of goodwill towards Age Concern Oxfordshire. As a Friend or Partner you can take goodwill a step further by helping us to promote the needs of older people and help raise funds to extend the services we offer.

This is an invitation to individuals and organisations to work with us. You can make a real difference and be part of our success story. There are numerous ways you can help:

As a Friend you may like to: promote the work of Age Concern Oxfordshire, make a one-off or annual contribution, organise a special event for example a golf tournament, a ball, or a dinner.

As a Partner you may like to: sponsor one of our services, sponsor a newsletter, or host a special event.

As a Corporate Friend or Partner not only will you be able to play a high profile role in helping us continue our work for older people in the local community but we can give you invaluable insight into ‘The Grey Market’, a growing and powerful group of consumers.

In Memory

You can make a donation to Age Concern Oxfordshire in memory of a loved one or friend. By donating to a cause they believed in, you will be doing something really worthwhile to celebrate their life.

You may prefer a donation to go to Age Concern Oxfordshire instead of (or as well as) flowers at their funeral. This may also be something you would like to think about if you are arranging the funeral of a friend or relative.

Ways to donate in memory of a loved one
Please contact us on 01235 849400, or we would be grateful to receive donations sent directly to us at St Edmund House, 39 West St Helen Street, Abingdon, Oxon OX14 5BW.

Once a gift has been received in memory of someone, we will send an acknowledgement letter to you. We will also send a letter to the family or next of kin if their details are provided, unless you advise us otherwise.

Leaving a Legacy

Please help us continue our work for older people into the future by remembering us in your will. No matter how small your gift is you will make a real difference. We rely on the gifts and legacies that are left by our supporters. Yours could play an important role in the welfare of older people locally in Oxfordshire.

Please let us know that you have included Age Concern Oxfordshire in your will to help us plan for the future.

Donate items to our Shops or sell on eBay

We always need good quality items to sell in our shops and are particularly in need of books for our new bookshop in Oxford.

If you have something that you can sell on eBay you can nominate Age Concern Oxfordshire to donate to. You can choose how much you would like to give, from a small percentage to the full amount. Just go to and click on the ‘eBay for Charity’ box.
